Greenwood Hobbit
Homemade Soap & Mask Project

Dear friends,
My mind is traveling to you, sheltering at home, as I am in my cozy hobbit home. It’s hard to fathom this new normal and what’s happening to people here and around the world and even in Middle Earth. This is a universal problem. Fitting masks on an orc has been quite a job!
It brings me delight to share some good news with you. A group of local neighbors is busily creating protective face masks for as many of our dear neighbors as possible! Your masks will offer protection when you must leave the safety of your own home. Please enjoy the photos below of my mask-making friends.

The lovely homemade masks are not made with PPE, but rather two pieces of cotton fabric sandwiching a piece of flannel to help protect you. The CDC says the tightly woven cotton layers are excellent protection when worn close on your face. Please adjust the elastic if necessary for a snug fit. Your mask can be safely sanitized with a trip through your washing machine.

If your family is in need of masks, please feel free to contact me through my email, greenwoodhobbits@gmail.com, for sadly, I cannot have you stop by my hobbit home right now.
Please stay safe my friends in these uncertain times.
Yours truly,

Bill-Bob Baggins
